Driven by My Love for J-WAVE How I Built a Sunday Music Site at Lightning Speed with AI

There is something special about the atmosphere on a Sunday, isn’t there?

Whether it’s that late-morning coffee after waking up slowly, or the time spent clearing away piled-up chores. Essential to my Sunday routine is the radio program “J-WAVE TOKIO HOT 100”.

Just having it play in the background gives me that “Ah, what a great holiday” feeling—I just can’t get enough of that groove. Often, I’ll think, “That’s a nice song,” intend to look up the title later, and then completely forget…

That’s when it hit me: “Wouldn’t it be great to have a site that nicely summarizes the songs played on TOKIO HOT 100?”

I Decided Not to Write It Myself

Normally, this is where I would say, “Alright, let’s write some code!” and open my text editor, but this time I tried a different approach.

“Let’s ask AI.”

I threw the vague idea floating in my head to my recent partner, AI.

“I want to make a site that summarizes the music played on TOKIO HOT 100. Can you design it nicely for me?”

And just like that, it took shape at surprising speed. From design adjustments to data retrieval methods, after consulting (or rather, making unreasonable demands) on everything, here is the result:

Honestly, all I (the human) did was act selfishly toward the AI, saying things like “Make it more like this” or “Keep this part simple” (lol).

To touch on the technical side a little, cloud technologies like AWS are running in the background, but the AI briskly supported those tedious construction parts as well. I realized once again that we have entered an era where the time humans used to spend agonizing over logic can now be spent on the creative “delusion” of imagining what kind of site we want to build.

Please Take a Look

Whether you are a J-WAVE listener or not, if you are looking for relaxing music, please take a peek.

I would be happy if this site, created together with AI, helps someone find their next background music.
