How to build a photo frame with a Raspberry Pi 3 and the official 7-inch touchscreen, then add automatic display brightness control using a GY-30 BH1750FVI ambient light sensor connected via I2C. The brightness control program is written in Python and published on GitHub.

I used an M5StickC and a JJY antenna board to sync a clock indoors. Setup notes, the short signal range, and a Wi-Fi issue, with ATOM Lite listed as another hardware option.
